A cinematic, scroll-driven photography portfolio with auto-generated project case-study pages.
Overview
Cam Eye is a cinematic photography portfolio for an Ahmedabad-based studio. It showcases project work through scroll-driven storytelling, with a case-study page auto-generated for every project, a studio page, and an email-backed contact flow for booking and inquiries. The portfolio spans portrait, editorial, commercial and personal work.
The challenge
A photography studio's website is its primary sales tool, and it has to feel as crafted as the work itself. The studio wanted cinematic, scroll-tied motion that elevates the imagery rather than competing with it, while keeping the site easy to maintain, adding a new project should not mean building a new page by hand. Image-heavy portfolios also have to stay fast.
What we built
Cam Eye is built on Next.js 16 and React 19 with a CSS-first Tailwind v4 design-token system. We used GSAP with ScrollTrigger for scroll-tied cinematic sequences and Motion for component micro-interactions, layered over Lenis smooth scrolling and a custom cursor. Project pages are generated dynamically at build time from a single projects data source, so onboarding a new shoot is a matter of adding one entry. Images are served through next/image with AVIF/WebP and Sharp, and the contact form is wired to Resend for transactional email. Forms are validated with React Hook Form and Zod.
Results
The site is a high-craft, art-directed portfolio that elevates the studio's brand through scroll-driven cinematic storytelling. New projects can be onboarded almost instantly by adding a data entry rather than building markup, image delivery is optimized for speed, and the contact pipeline reliably routes inquiries by email.
